Basic Fundamentals Of Basketball

1.Ball handling – Is what the player do with that dribble. This is the most important part that the player should know how to hold the ball correctly.

2. Dribbling – This fundamental is the essential part of the basketball. It is the one who controls the game and the flow. It is the skill of controlling the ball as you bounce it to the floor. In dribbling the ball, the player should keep his eyes up always in order to have a good view of the court. He either used his left or right hand in dribbling by using the finger tips to control the ball all the way down and back.

3. Passing – This is an act of passing the ball from one player to another team player. A good pass is one that is caught by the receiver. A good passer knows how to deliver the ball in a right angle to make it easy for the receiver. There are three ways of passing, the over hand pass, the chest pass and the bounce pass.

4.Ball Shooting – In shooting proper foot alignment is needed as well as the balance. The arm is extended and the wrist is bend forward. The shooting hand is behind the ball then the other hand is towards the ball side. There are different kinds of shoot like jump shoot, hook shoot and free-throw.

5. Footwork – This is the most important skills that the players should learn. Footwork is very important in correctly and consistently executing the sky-hook. This is played with the feet.
